On Oct 27, 2011, a delegation from Christ College, Brecon, consisting of 24 faculty and students, arrived in Xi’an, starting to pay a visit to HSXJTU. Established in 1541, Christ College is a co-ed private school and one of the oldest schools in Britain. Located in Brecon, small town in south Wales, with an area of 345 acres, Christ College enjoys a picturesque campus near national park. School buildings of long history still retain its Middle Ages’ style but keeps pace with the times on facilities. Christ College was once listed as one of the best 100 boarding high schools by Best-School website. Britain Financial Times also listed it one of best independent middle schools in terms of cost performance.
Back in 2010, Mrs. Emma Taylor, Principal of Christ College Brecon, paid a visited to HSXJTU, Mrs. Emma Taylor visited HSXJTU and she was deeply impressed by our quality education during her visit and expressed her wish to start up a partnership with our school. This visit marked the beginning of the exchange of Christ College and HSXJTU.
During the three-day stay in Xi’an this time, Christ College delegation sat in our classes and had in-depth conversations with our faculty and students. Mr. Spencer, leader of the delegation and Deputy Head of Christ College had a conversation with Mme. Liu Jun on behalf of HSXJTU, and signed an official agreement to establish the cooperation between Christ College, Brecon and HSXJTU.
